The browser that gives the best performance is Opera GX. Install it, and then type chrome://flags in the address bar.

Search for and enable the following options:

In-Game Graphics Settings

In order to optimize FPS, it is recommended to turn everything to off / lowest except for:

• FPS - unlimited — there are many reports of users having significantly lower FPS when a cap is set.
• Render Scale — should be 100 so the game looks decent. Only lower it as a last resort
• Character XRay Vision — this should be enabled, as it is useful for gameplay and does not cause FPS drops

Troubleshooting

If you’re having extremely worse performance than expected, try the following items:

• [ ] On laptops, plug in the charger and configure Power Management options for high performance

• [ ] Install the latest drivers for your GPU

• [ ] Type chrome://gpu in the address bar and ensure that:

  1. Graphics feature looks similar to this — most things hardware accelerated

  

  2. In the GL_RENDERER table near the bottom of the page, your main GPU should be displayed

  

  (If neither are the case, follow the instructions on the bottom of the page)

• [ ] Type chrome://flags in the address bar, search for Choose ANGLE graphics backend, and set it to OpenGL

• [ ] For NVIDIA users, go to the NVIDIA Control Panel (Right click Desktop > NVIDIA Control Panel). Then, click on Managed 3D Settings, then Program Settings, and pick your Browser (Chrome or Opera GX) from the dropdown.

  • [ ] Set OpenGL rendering GPU to the primary GPU
  • [ ] Set CUDA - GPUs to your primary GPU
  • [ ] Set Power management mode to Prefer maximum performance
